Sulfadoxine is a sulfonamide antibiotic frequently used for the treatment of malaria and bacteria that cause urinary and respiratory tract infections. Sulfadoxine is also routinely used in combination for malaria infections when used in combination with pyrimethamine. Sulfadoxine is soluble in water and ethanol: 0.296 mg/mL and 20mg/mL respectively.
